§ 30-106. Approval or denial of application for permit.

  • (a)

    The director shall approve or deny a completed application for a permit, and give notice to the applicant of the decision, as soon as possible upon receipt, but in no case any more than five (5) business days after receipt of the completed application which has been signed on behalf of all applicable city departments. The time limitation in this subparagraph may be extended to a date certain upon written request of an applicant.

    (b)

    In the event the director denies an application for a permit, the director shall state, in writing, the specific reason(s) for denial of the application, and, if possible, recommend specific changes to the application which, if made and accepted by the applicant, would be acceptable to the director, give notice to the applicant of the decision, and advise the applicant of his right to appeal the decision to the city manager within ten (10) business days of the date of the notice.
