§ 34-43. Council action on application.

  • At or before the next succeeding regular meeting of the city council after the meeting at which the report of the city manager required by section 34-42 is presented to the city council, any applicant for a certificate of convenience and necessity under this division, or other interested party, may file written exceptions thereto with the city clerk, and such applicant or interested party shall have an opportunity to be heard on the exceptions to the report at such time as may be fixed by the city council for the purpose. The decision of the city council with regard to such exceptions and the report shall be final, and the city manager shall issue no certificate of public convenience and necessity except upon such terms and conditions as the city council may prescribe, and such certificate shall be in strict accordance therewith.
