The person in charge of any public vehicle shall carefully preserve any money or other
property left in such vehicle by any passenger and the same shall be promptly deposited
with the owner of such vehicle, who shall keep the same at some convenient point within
the city, where the same may be called for by its owner. When such money or property
has been identified and ownership established, the same shall be promptly delivered
to such owner. Any property which is not called for within sixty (60) days shall be
disposed of according to law.
