§ 24-1.2. Docketing, indexing and recording assessments.

The city clerk shall docket each assessment upon abutting landowners for streets or other public local improvements in a book or books kept for the purpose in his office and index the same in the name of the person or persons owning such land at the time the lien for such assessment accrues, and in addition, shall cause the same to be recorded and indexed in such person's name in the office of the clerk of the circuit court.
