§ 2-297.1. Multiple memberships.

  • No member of the school board, planning commission, board of zoning appeals or personnel and employment practices commission shall serve on any other permanent board, commission, authority or committee the membership of which is appointed solely by the council, except that not more than two (2) members of the planning commission may serve on the architectural review board. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Code, except as hereinabove stated, there shall be no prohibition on the appointment of any otherwise eligible person to two (2) or more permanent boards, commissions, authorities or committees appointed by council. This section shall have no application to ad hoc boards, commissions, authorities or committees appointed by the council, the city manager or any other council-appointed officer.
