§ 6-2. Designation and general duties of animal wardens.

The city manager shall designate certain employees of the police department to be known as animal wardens of the city, whose special duty it shall be to enforce the provisions of this chapter and all laws for the protection of domestic animals. The term animal warden shall have the same meaning and authority as an animal control officer as defined in section 3.2-6500, Code of Virginia, as amended.
