§ 6-65. Confinement or destruction of animals showing signs of or suspected of having rabies.

The owner of any animal showing active signs of rabies or suspected of having rabies shall confine or cause to be confined such animal, at the expense of the owner, in a pound, kennel, or enclosure approved by the health department for such a time as may be necessary to determine a diagnosis. If confinement is not possible or practicable, such animal shall be destroyed.
